“The Colors of Cinco de Mayo” is an oil on canvas that was the first of the Folklorico paintings that inspired the artist and took her two years to complete. Not in physical time, but in the mental searching on how best to convey this moment. These young high school girls are waiting to perform at the center where the artist had her studio in Old Town San Diego.
